AI Video That Pays Off: Real world Commercial Use Case, Nomad SafeSip

Nomad SafeSip was the campaign film we produced for a personal water bottle's Kickstarter launch. In choosing Minor Visuals, the client weighed our track record on more than 500 crowdfunding projects over eight-plus years and our LaunchBoom Certified Expert status; what they wanted was a campaign film that made a strong impression from day one.

On top of that experience, we built in the AI-assisted cost-reduction approach we've been developing recently. Most people picture AI video production as flying dragons, warriors, or explosions, scenes with no real commercial use, or as a cheap stand-in for a high-budget shoot. At Minor Visuals, we see it differently. For us, AI is a tool for producing commercially useful, practically invisible results the viewer can't tell apart from a real shoot.

Watch the full film, then see how we used AI in three specific scenes below.

We used three techniques on this film: building scenes from scratch, object replacement, and location replacement. Each one protected the client's budget while strengthening the film's visual impact.

Scenes Built From Scratch: Shots That Are Hard to Film for Real

Some shots take hours of rigging, equipment, and cost to film for real, and some are close to physically impossible. We used this approach on more than one scene in Nomad SafeSip; here are the two that stand out:

The first is the camera circling the bottle as the model reaches in to pick it up. Pulling off that kind of camera move on a real shoot means complex rigging and an extra production day. We built the scene with AI instead, saving the client that cost and giving the film a stronger, more fluid narrative.

The second is a POV shot from inside the bottle. That angle is nearly impossible to capture on a real shoot, but it's the kind of perspective that genuinely adds to a film. AI made it possible to include this shot at all.

We also paid attention to continuity here: the AI-built shots use the exact same model and the exact same product as the real footage, so there's no visual break between the AI scenes and the live-action ones.

Object Replacement: Keeping a Scene's Modern Look Intact

Sometimes one detail in a real shot doesn't match the film's overall theme. The street fountain at the Nomad SafeSip location read as fairly traditional and dated, at odds with the film's clean, modern narrative.

We planned to replace the fountain with a new, modern design using AI from before the shoot, not as a fix afterward. That let us use this location without the fountain's look holding us back, with no need to scout a different spot or add a shooting day, while staying true to the film's modern theme throughout.

Location Replacement: Removing the Limits of Where You Can Shoot

The best location for a scene is often somewhere hard to reach or hard to justify in the budget. In Nomad SafeSip, we replaced the landscape behind the model with a massive waterfall using AI.

Actually traveling to a location like that would mean travel, crew logistics, and extra shoot days. Building that location swap with AI protected the client's budget and gave the film a real jump in visual impact.

Who This Is For: Kickstarter, E-Commerce, and Startup Video Production

The three techniques above aren't specific to one project. They work for any team under real budget and time constraints.

For entrepreneurs preparing a Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign, the challenge is producing cinematic, indistinguishable footage on a limited budget. Spending campaign-film budget on story instead of location and equipment strengthens the first impression directly. Take a look at our crowdfunding video production work, and for the data behind what actually moves the needle, see our guide on Kickstarter success rates in 2026.

The same logic applies to e-commerce brands and Amazon sellers: instead of settling for a compromised product video because of location, prop, or scene constraints, removing those constraints with AI keeps the video conversion-focused. See our Amazon product video work.

We're Pushing AI Video Production to Another Direction

AI video production isn't new, but using it on real commercial projects for anything beyond fantasy scenes still is. Building scenes from scratch, object replacement, and location replacement show how practical this approach already is for crowdfunding, e-commerce, and startup video production.

At Minor Visuals, we keep developing this approach: pairing our production experience with AI to protect budgets while raising visual quality and narrative strength.
